AFT HMI+GONG Far-side Photospheric Radial Magnetic Field Map

This dataset represents a simulated radial photospheric magnetic field map generated using the Advective Flux Transport (AFT) model. The simulation integrates line-of-sight (LOS) magnetogram data from the Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager (HMI) for the Earth-facing side of the Sun, along with far-side acoustic imaging data from the Global Oscillation Network Group (GONG) to reconstruct the non-visible hemisphere. The resulting map offers a global, near-simultaneous view of the Sun’s surface magnetic field, suitable for studying large-scale magnetic field evolution and flux transport processes.
