资源简介:
External and internal fruit color are important traits in strawberry (Fragaria spp.) breeding programs. A large natural variation, ranging from white to red, is found depending on anthocyanin accumulation. Fruit anthocyanin biosynthesis is controlled by a clade of R2R3 MYB transcription factors, being MYB10 the main factor in strawberry fruit. This study aims to address open questions relative to the distribution of color through the different tissues of the receptacle when MYB10 is functional, as happens in fruits with intense red epidermis and totally white flesh, as well as weather there are additional factors apart from MYB10 behind fruit color development.
