This is a working draft of a protocol used in Jamie Jirout's research on teachers' instructional support of student curiosity in classrooms. The protocol document includes an overview about the definitions used, a brief description of the initial goals for developing the coding protocol, a brief overview of background literature, and instructions for coding the different components of a curiosity-promotion framework described initially in Jirout et al., 2018.
