This study will focus on the effects of factors as pH, relative humidity and organic ligands to replicate in vivo and environmental conditions. The principal biological macromolecules to be examined are: (i) Human Insulin (HI) and its complexes with selected organic ligands, in the pursuit of a detailed phase map essential for the development of improved drug formulations, and (ii) virus proteins, which have been crystallized based on established batch protocols.
