The present study aimed to investigate the influence of different roughages on microorganisms in Bubalus bubalis. They were fed six different diets, each consisting of 1kg concentrate supplement and one of six types of roughage, including alfalfa hay , oat hay , whole corn silage , king grass , sugarcane shoot silage , and rice straw hay . Rumen fluid samples were collected two hours after morning feeding to determine rumen fermentation parameters, and bacterial 16SrRNA high-throughput sequencing was performed.
