Evaluation of the applicability of optical water index to different types of water

We evaluate the applicability of the absolute optical water index to different types of water bodies. The evaluation process for each type of water body is as follows: First,12 water body indexes are calculated using Landsat-8 and Sentinel-2 satellite images. In the second step, the K-means unsupervised classification method was used to classify the images, and the classification results were combined into two categories: water body and non-water body. The third step is to manually vectorize the true color image and evaluate the accuracy in ENVI.
