Municipal Election Study, 1981

The Municipal Election Study, 1981 was carried out immediately after the county council/municipal elections in November 1981. The survey examines a number of municipal conditions and issues both from the point of view of the election campaign and in relation to the respondent's general interest and participation in local political activities. #The survey was carried out by two groups of researchers, each group with its specific aim. The project 'Statslig styring, lokalsamfund og kommunalpolitik' (State Control, Local Communities and Local Politics) deals with Danish local government and approaches this subject from various angles, this interview survey being one of these. The purpose of the election research group has been to examine a number of central aspects of electoral behaviour and decision-making processes, aspects which have been examined earlier in a number of election studies
