Korean national election study 1988

This survey was carried out in connection with the Korean National Assembly election on April 26. The respondents were asked about political interest, opinion on drastical changes in Korean politics, most serious problems in Korea, knowledge of candidates running for the National Assembly, candidate preferred and reason for prefering this candidate, source of information on politics and election campaign, most important campaign issue and party benefited from this issue, evaluation of present government and reason for this assessment, evaluation of president Roh Tae Woo, party liked most and second best party, and party voted for in the 1985 election. Background variables include information on gender, age, occupation, religion, place of residence, grandfathers hometown, education, and monthly income. There are also a number of questions concerning economic daily newspapers.

本调查系配合4月26日韩国国会选举开展。受访对象需回答以下内容：政治关注度、对韩国政坛剧烈变革的看法、韩国当前最严峻的问题、对国会参选候选人的了解程度、偏好的候选人及其选择理由、政治与竞选活动的信息来源、本次竞选最重要的议题及受该议题助力的政党、对现任政府的评价及其依据、对卢泰愚（Roh Tae Woo）总统的评价、最喜爱与次喜爱的政党，以及1985年选举中的投票政党。背景变量涵盖受访对象的性别、年龄、职业、宗教信仰、居住地、祖父祖籍、受教育程度及月收入水平。此外，问卷还包含若干有关经济类日报的问题。
