Australian Marine Parks 2024

This dataset represents the network of Australian Marine Parks proclaimed in Commonwealth waters.\r\n\r\nConsistent with the Australian Government's commitment to develop a National Representative System of Marine Protected Areas, networks of marine parks have been proclaimed for Commonwealth waters across the North, North-west, South-west, Temperate East and Coral Sea Marine Regions and, most recently, in the Indian Ocean Territories. These networks build on previous marine protected area proclamations, including the South-east Marine Parks Network declared in 2007. This data contains spatial and contextual information about Australian Marine Parks proclaimed under the Commonwealth Government's Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, which are managed by Parks Australia, with the addition of Heard Island and McDonald Islands Marine Reserve, which is managed by the Australian Antarctic Division.\r\n\r\nIn WGS84 CRS.

本数据集呈现的是澳大利亚联邦水域内正式宣告设立的澳大利亚海洋公园（Australian Marine Parks）网络。

为契合澳大利亚政府构建国家代表性海洋保护区体系（National Representative System of Marine Protected Areas）的承诺，澳大利亚政府已为北部、西北部、西南部、温带东部及珊瑚海海洋区域的联邦水域公布设立海洋公园网络，近期还将印度洋领地纳入该体系。该系列海洋公园网络依托此前已正式划定的海洋保护区体系建成，其中包括2007年公布的东南海洋公园网络（South-east Marine Parks Network）。本数据集包含依据澳大利亚联邦政府《1999年环境保护与生物多样性保护法（Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999）》正式宣告设立的澳大利亚海洋公园的空间信息与背景信息，此类海洋公园由澳大利亚公园管理局（Parks Australia）负责管理；另有赫德岛和麦克唐纳群岛海洋保护区由澳大利亚南极管理局（Australian Antarctic Division）管辖，亦纳入本数据集范畴。
