Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1986, Omnibus no. 08

Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1986 comprises 20 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1986. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. # #The questions common to all 1986 omnibuses are: #The respondent's sex, age and marital status; size of the household, number of adults (persons aged 15 or more) and children, and age of the children; the respondent's position in the household; the respondent's education, occupational status, public or private employment and income; education, occupational status and public or private employment of the head of the household; gross household income; the housewife's occupational status; housing conditions and ownership of the dwelling as well as geographical location and degree of urbanization; which party the respondent voted for at the last general election; and which party the respondent would vote for at a general election on the day after the interview. # #The special questions in this omnibus deal with the following issues: # #Football World Cup in Mexico; assessment of the chances of the All-Denmark team; football and violence (in the field and among the spectators) in Denmark and in other countries; reasons for the increase in the number of violent episodes (e.g. unemployment, social problems, the players' behaviour, alcohol consumption, racism, changes of moral standards, influence from the mass media); passive smoking; attitude to the proposed ban on smoking in public places; US grounds for bombing the two largest cities in Libya (that Libya is the hotbed of international terrorism and is responsible for a number of acts of terrorism directed towards American institutions); attitude to the bombing and possible effects on international terrorist activities; and the alleged attempts on the part of the USA to get its European allies to impose economic and political sanctions on Libya
