Changes of intestinal microbiome and its relationship with painful diabetic neuropathy in rats

Objective: To analyze the gut bacterial microbiome in rats with painful diabetic neuropathy (PDN) compared to normal rats.This study demonstrates that the gut bacterial microbiome of rats with PDN differs from that of control rats. The findings may contribute to the development of new therapeutic approaches for diabetic patients and those with diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
