The published studies used for database construction from 1990 to 2020 that reported the oilseed crop yield and quality responses to simulated N deposition were identified using the Web of Science, with the search terms of "(nitrogen deposition OR nitrogen application OR nitrogen fertilization OR nitrogen nutrition OR nitrogen addition OR nitrogen input) AND (soybean OR peanut OR rape OR sunflower OR sesame) AND (seed) AND (yield OR quality OR protein OR fatty acid OR oil)"Abbreviations: PNP: pod numbers per plant; SNP: seeds numbers per pod; HGW: hundred-grain weight; Pn: leaf net photosynthesis rate; HI: harvest index; NNP: nodule numbers per plant; NWP: nodule weights per plant.
