Dataset accompanying the study: "Quantifying the spatial footprint of agriculture-driven edge effects in a global deforestation hotspot"

This file contains the dataset used in the study "Quantifying the spatial footprint of agriculture-driven edge effects in a global deforestation hotspot", submitted for publication in Global Change Biology.Each row corresponds to a georeferenced vegetation sampling point (n = 3304) in the Dry Chaco region of northern Argentina.The dataset includes land cover classification (cropland, pasture, silvopasture), vegetation structure (tree cover, shrub cover, aboveground biomass), geographic coordinates (latitude, longitude), and landscape context variables.All variables were derived from previously published datasets and remote sensing products, and compiled specifically for the purposes of this study.The data are provided as a CSV file, along with a separate metadata file describing each column.
