This dataset records relevant items of total post and telecommunications business volume, along with the figures for 1999 and 2000, as well as the percentage of the 2000 statistic relative to that of 1999, from the socio-economic statistical data of Beijing, a provincial-level demonstration municipality for the Beijing-Tianjin Sandstorm Source Control Project. As the national political, cultural and economic center of China, this dataset also compiles comprehensive statistical data for all districts and counties of Beijing in 2002, covering multiple dimensions such as finance and fiscal affairs, industrial and agricultural production, science, education and public health, infrastructure construction, people's living standards, basic urban and rural conditions, population structure, employee employment, and tourism economy. This dataset comprehensively reflects the socio-economic development situation of Beijing.
