The Denominational Schools Board was established in 1848 and was responsible for the distribution of funds to denominational schools from an annual Parliamentary grant and a proportion of the Church and Schools Estates revenue.The volume in this series contains comprehensive information regarding denominational schools throughout Victoria. On a separate page for each school, details are given of the acquisition of the school site, of the erection of buildings with some details of size and materials and details of the supply of furnishings and maintenance and improvements to the buildings. The names of the Trustees are given as are the costs of works, contributions by the Board and the amounts of local subscriptions.For some entries references are given to correspondence annual single numbers.
