We provide the first global compilation of pāhoehoe lava-lobe thicknesses from various continental flood basalt Provinces (~ 3800 measurements) to compare characteristic thicknesses within and between Provinces. Please see the readme for more details of the datasets. The jupyter notebooks allow plotting of the respective datasets (from the corresponding Excel data files) with the plots folder (WG plots) and plots_other (rest of the CFB plots as well as summary statistics plots for all the CFBs + clustering analysis).<br>The manuscript describing the dataset and the primary results is currently submitted to Frontiers in Earth Sci (Self, Mittal, Jay 2020).<br>

本研究首次完成了全球范围内不同大陆溢流玄武岩省(continental flood basalt Provinces)的绳状熔岩(pāhoehoe)岩舌厚度数据集汇编,共计约3800组实测数据,旨在对比各省内及省际间的特征厚度值。有关本数据集的更多细节,请参阅自述文件(readme)。配套的Jupyter笔记本(Jupyter Notebook)可基于对应Excel数据文件绘制各数据集的可视化图表:绘图文件夹(plots folder)用于存放WG绘图(WG plots);other plots文件夹(plots_other)则涵盖其余大陆溢流玄武岩(CFB)绘图,以及所有大陆溢流玄武岩的汇总统计图表与聚类分析结果图。本数据集及核心研究成果相关的论文目前已投稿至《地球科学前沿》(Frontiers in Earth Science),作者包括Self、Mittal及Jay,稿件完成于2020年。
