Caminhos cifrados/conectados: patrimônio jesuítico entre Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo

ABSTRACT This study discusses the paths of destruction, dispersion, reconstruction and preservation that marked the history of the Jesuit heritage in the southeastern region of Brazil, particularly the old colleges of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, and the missions on the coast of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, in the context of global / local / connected histories. The study of these cases highlights general characteristics common to other areas of Brazil and Hispanic America, given the global circulation of models, books, artists and objects, and also points out problematic elements that affect and hinder our current knowledge of this type of colonial production.

本研究立足于全球史、地方史与关联史的研究语境，探讨巴西东南部地区耶稣会遗产（Jesuit heritage）的损毁、流散、重建与留存历程，重点聚焦里约热内卢（Rio de Janeiro）与圣保罗（São Paulo）的旧学院，以及两地沿海区域的传教据点。鉴于各类范式、书籍、艺术家与实物的全球流通，本研究通过剖析上述案例，揭示了巴西其他区域及西班牙语美洲（Hispanic America）同类遗产所共有的普遍特征；同时，本研究也指明了当前制约学界对这类殖民时期产物认知的若干问题。
