This article analyzes the theoretical foundations and practical methods of diversifying commercial bank activities. The research explores mechanisms for managing financial risks, increasing profitability, and strengthening the market competitiveness of banks through the diversification of assets and liabilities. Additionally, the expansion of the service scope and the transition to a universal banking model in the context of transformation processes in the banking system of Uzbekistan are examined. The article concludes with proposals for modern strategies to diversify the banking portfolio.
