This Archival Information Package (AIP) provides Environmental Response Management Application (ERMA) GIS layers of infrared and photographic images from EPAs airborne spectral photometric environmental collection technology (ASPECT) with geospatial, chemical and radiological information. This information was collected for the assessment of the extent and severity of damages to critical infrastructure during the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and to minimize impacts to the American people, environment and the economy. On April 29, 2010 EPA deployed the ASPECT, a twin engine aircraft designed to assist in the collection of air sampling data as well as aerial photo documentation of the migrating Deepwater Horizon oil slick. These data were collected during the response to the Mississippi Canyon 252 Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in the Northern Gulf of Mexico and used as part of the Programmatic Damage Assessment and Restoration Plan (PDARP).
