Saffron (Crocus sativus L.), endangered plant, planted in a small field in Sanfranbolu district (Karabük, Turkey). Saffron Weevil (Hoplopteridius lutosus anatolicus Osella & Lodosa (Col .: Curculionidae) has been known in Turkey before but the prevalence and status on host plant as saffron is unknown. In our study, it has been determined as a pest. In the study, studies about the pest status, prevalence and the dna barcoding were provided.
