Data from IFS ensemble seasonal forecasts, initialised Nov 1st for every year from 1980 to 2020 and run for 4 months. The fields are DJF mean Z500 (500hPa geopotential) and DJF mean PSL (sea-level pressure) for two such forecasts. The first, "ctrl", is run with prescribed ERA5 SSTs and sea ice. The second, "isuy" or "denial", is identical except SSTs in a broad ENSO domain are set to climatology. The ensemble size is 50. The data was created via an ECMWF Special Project, with the help of Retish Senan (ECMWF). The data was uploaded to support a manuscript submitted for publication by Kristian Strommen.
