Mid-Holocene rise in Pinus pollen across Northeast Asia without resolved regional forest expansion — code and public-safe source data

This repository contains the analysis code and public-safe source data accompanying the manuscript “Mid-Holocene rise in Pinus pollen across Northeast Asia without resolved regional forest expansion” (submitted to Communications Earth & Environment) and its Supplementary Information. Package Contents code/: five standalone Python scripts reproducing the REML random-effects meta-analysis (reproduce_public_meta.py), astronomical insolation calculations (compute_orbital_insolation.py), Lake Xiaolongwan marker-calibrated pollen accumulation rate (PAR) bootstraps (confirmed_xlw_par.py), genus-level taxon decompositions (reproduce_taxon_decomposition.py), and Lake Moon pseudocount sensitivity tests (recompute_lake_moon_pseudocount.py). source_data/tables/: cell-by-cell synchronized CSV tables for Supplementary Tables S1–S15. source_data/figure_sources/: underlying data points and summaries for main Figures 1–6 and Supplementary Figures S1–S8. source_data/moon_sensitivity/: 100-year bin data and sensitivity outputs across four pseudocount treatments for Lake Moon. source_data/Supplementary_Data_1_Xiaolongwan_*: derived concentrations, PAR, bin summaries, and bootstrap outputs for Lake Xiaolongwan. source_data/Supplementary_Data_2_TraCE21ka.csv: nine-site TraCE-21ka climate metrics. source_data/taxon_aggregates/, dali_aggregates/, orbital_insolation/: supporting aggregates, Berger–Loutre 1991 insolation inputs, and validation data.
