To investigate the effects of thinning on stand structure of mid-aged teak plantations, thinning operations were carried out on a 33-year-old teak plantation in Ruili Wanding Forest Farm via variable-density thinning methods. The impacts of thinning on tree growth in sample plots and stand diameter-class structure were examined. Correlation analysis among stand factors was conducted to reveal the correlations between stand growth factors, aiming to provide technical references and practical cases for the tending management of mid-aged teak plantations.
