1. Warm rain turbulence and reflectivity dataset: This dataset contains the pre-warm-rain evolution of turbulent dissipation rate (ε) and cloud radar reflectivity obtained from collocated millimeter cloud radar and radar wind profiler observations across China. The dataset was used in the study: "Coherent pre-warm rain turbulence signatures from collocated cloud radar and wind profiler observations across China" 2. Data structure: The dataset is organized into three main folders: (1) Turbulence Contains turbulent dissipation rate (ε) data derived from radar wind profiler observations. (2) Reflectivity Contains cloud radar reflectivity data corresponding to the same warm rain events. (3) warm_cloud_CBH_CTH Contains cloud-base-height (CBH) and cloud-top-height (CTH) 3. Data description: Each CSV file contains the vertical evolution of turbulence and cloud reflectivity during the two hours preceding warm rain initiation. The vertical coordinate is normalized by cloud-base height (CBH) and cloud-top height (CTH), allowing comparison among different warm cloud events with different cloud depths. 4. Observation period and study region: Warm rain events were collected during the warm seasons of 2024–2025 over China. The dataset includes observations from multiple collocated cloud radar and wind profiler sites distributed across China. 5. Missing values: A 'nan' value indicates missing data. 6. Data processing: The turbulence and reflectivity measurements were temporally aligned before analysis. For each warm rain event, the two-hour period before rainfall initiation was extracted. Vertical profiles were interpolated and normalized using cloud-base and cloud-top heights to investigate the coherent evolution of turbulence and hydrometeor development before warm rain onset.
