Whole genome microarray of the retina reveals a progressive response with increasing duration of diabetes.

Gene expression changes were identified by whole genome microarray and confirmed by qPCR in the same set of animals as used in the microarray analyses and subsequently validated in independent sets of animals. Significantly more and larger magnitude gene expression changes were observed after 3 months than after 1 month of diabetes.本研究通过全基因组微阵列（whole genome microarray）鉴定基因表达变化，并在微阵列分析所用的同一批实验动物中，通过实时定量聚合酶链反应（qPCR）对结果进行了确认；随后在独立批次的实验动物群体中完成了验证。相较于糖尿病造模1个月的动物，糖尿病造模3个月后观测到的基因表达变化数量显著更多、变化幅度也显著更大。
