Resuscitating to a Number — data, extractions, verification reports and analysis scripts

Companion repository to "Resuscitating to a Number: Serial Lactate, Central Venous Oxygen Saturation, and Bedside Decision-Making in Septic Shock" (Ama R, Peratoner A, Lucangelo U; submitted to Critical Care, 25 September 2026). Version 2 replaces the earlier CHEST-formatted deposit with the submitted manuscript (Figures 1 and 2 embedded), Figure 1 (early fluid by time window) and Figure 2 (bedside decision framework for persistent hyperlactataemia) as separate PDFs, Additional file 1 (full 19-trial table), Additional file 2 (PRISMA-NMA checklist), Additional file 3 (structured extraction files with page-level provenance for all trials and syntheses, and independent verification reports) and Additional file 4 (the per-trial network dataset transcribed from Yumoto et al. 2023 Figure S1 with trial-sourced corrections, R scripts reproducing the network meta-analysis, node-splitting and CINeMA judgements under four Jansen-horizon configurations, and Figure 1 data and code). Extraction and verification were performed with a large language model under author direction; every value is traced to its printed source. Source PDFs are not included (copyright).
