Metadata related to the APOLLO Trial

The data set consists of data from a randomised and from a natural experiment, both collected in the Netherlands with the aim to compare the efficacy of two surgical hip-fracture treatments on self-reported well-being of treated patients (e.g. EQ-5D-5L), altogether including data on about 500 patients. Correspondingly, the data set contains measurements on the treatment status, the self-reported and additional health outcome variables, and additional pre-treatment covariates such as Age, Gender, Dementia, BMI etc.. The two treatments were compared with the help of causal inference methods, featuring the adjustment for the mentioned covariates. In conclusion, none of the two treatments were found superior to the other in terms of the outcomes of interest. For more information, refer toTol. 本数据集涵盖于荷兰收集的随机试验与自然实验两类数据，旨在对比两种髋部骨折手术治疗方案对患者自我报告幸福感（如EQ-5D-5L量表）的疗效，总计纳入约500名患者的相关数据。
相应地，本数据集包含治疗状态、自我报告及其他健康结局变量的测量结果，同时涵盖治疗前协变量信息，如年龄、性别、痴呆症患病情况、体质量指数（Body Mass Index, BMI）等。
本研究借助因果推断方法对两种治疗方案进行对比，并针对上述协变量进行了校正调整。
