Clearing is a voluntary operation that destroys the wooded state of a land and puts an end to its forest destination for new use. Applications for clearance authorisation are processed in accordance with the provisions of the Forestry Code.

林木清理属于自愿性操作，其会破坏土地的林木覆盖状态，并终止土地的原有林业用途以适配新的使用需求。林木清理许可的申请需按照《林业法典》的相关规定办理。
依据经修订的1978年1月6日《CNIL法》第15条之规定，Sylva数据集被纳入2001年2月27日的政令（2001年4月5日官方公报第5298页）。
