Thermodynamic equilibrium analysis of processes occurring in systems Mex+–PO43—H2O, aimed at maximizing phosphate recovery, was performed using the PHREEQC Version 3 computer program of US Geological Survey (PHREEQC_ThermoddemV1.10_15Dec2020 thermodynamic database). The studied range was chosen based on typical MWW composition: pH 6.5–9.0; initial phosphate concentration (as P) 10 mg/L (0.3 mmol/L); reagent doses corresponding to reagent excess of 0–2 (total Mex+ concentration C = 0–6.0 mmol/L); temperature 25 °C; ionic strength 0.0097.
