VPRS 14941 State Election Ballot Papers Record

This series was created during the administration of the collection of State Election ballot papers. Each double page contains rows of data, under the following headings:- Electorate- Name and Address of Returning Officer- Date of election- Date of entry- No. of parcels- How forwarded (ie carrier)- Date of receipt- Remarks.The entries appear to have been made in order of receipt of ballot papers from returning officers.In 2003, the original Acts, Bills and other related series created by the Legislative Assembly were transferred to PROV. During the process of this transfer, various other records (including this series) were appraised and those deemed permanent were transferred to PROV. Some of the records were estrays, some had clearly at one time been part of the Legislative Assembly's correspondence system and others had been collected for research.
