Recently developed genomic resources for Cynomys gunnisoni and other ground squirrel taxa

This entry includes 4 bait sets and the full set of SNPs found across the genome of <i>Cynomys gunnisoni </i>(Gunnison's prairie dog). The 4 bait sets are between 80-100 (Ancient Bait Sets) and 80-120 (Modern Bait Sets) base pairs in length. Modern baits are longer in order to minimize off target reads due to the less specific binding of shorter baits. The bait sets are as follows: 1. <i>Cynomys gunnisoni</i> 20K Ancient (20,000 baits), 2. <i>Cynomys gunnisoni</i> 60K Ancient (60,000 baits), 3. <i>Cynomys gunnisoni</i> 20K Modern (20,000 baits), and 4. <i>Cynomys gunnisoni</i> 60K Modern (60,00 baits). These bait sets have the potential to be used in studies regarding adaptation, gene flow, cline analysis, and more. Additionally, these bait sets could be used not only for Gunnison's prairie dogs, but also for other ground squirrel taxa.
