The Moreton Geology map was prepared in 1978 and published in 1980 at 1:500 000 as part of the Geological 1:500 000 series to provide an interpretation of known surface geology information. This map was prepared by the Geological Survey of Queensland (GSQ), Geological Survey of New south Wales (GSNSW) and the Bureau of Mineral Resources, Geology and Geophysics (BMR). The map was compiled from data available at June, 1978 and covers areas in both Queensland (QLD) and New South Wales (NSW) in the 1:250 000 map sheet areas of Chinchilla, Gympie, Dalby, Ipswich, Brisbane, Goondiwindi, Warwick and Tweed Heads.
The map product is available to all government agencies, industry and the public for reference.
