Chloroplast fragment sequencing data for Primula species
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains sequencing results of three chloroplast fragments from Primula species: matK, trnL intron, and trnL-trnF intergenic spacer, as well as the rpl16 gene intron. We generated new sequences for 66 species from the samples. In this study, we examine pollen and ovule numbers per flower across 73 species and 99 populations of Primula, encompassing both distylous and homostylous reproductive systems. We investigate whether phylogenetic relationships influence the associations between variation in gamete production, floral traits, and elevation, as well as whether the evolutionary transition from distyly to homostyly leads to parallel changes in gamete production. We employed a Bayesian approach, utilizing the MCMCglmm method to model pollen and ovule traits across species and assess whether they exhibit phylogenetic signals.
