Building coastal resilience / Sunshine Coast / priority coastal restoration

This application addresses 3 strategic priority beach units (Alexandra Headlands, Buddina Kawana and Maroochydore) for erosion mitigation works which have been identified within the Sunshine Coast CouncilÍs Shoreline Erosion Management Plan. The project seeks to restore coastal vegetation communities increasing their natural resilience, their flora and fauna assemblages and connectivity and ultimately assist in the stabilisation of a highly vulnerable system. This will be achieved by the targeted control of weed infestations, revegetation of dunal systems, collection and processing of native seed for use in community restoration projects, working in partnership with community conservation groups and assisting with engagement and education.

本项目针对阳光海岸委员会（Sunshine Coast Council）《海岸线侵蚀管理计划》中划定的3个战略优先级海滩单元（亚历山德拉海岬（Alexandra Headlands）、巴丁娜卡瓦纳（Buddina Kawana）、马鲁奇多雷（Maroochydore））开展侵蚀防治工程。本项目旨在恢复滨海植被群落，提升其天然抗逆性、动植物群落组成与连通性，最终助力高度脆弱的海岸系统实现稳定。该目标将通过以下路径达成：针对性防控杂草入侵、修复沙丘系统、收集并加工本土种子用于社区修复项目、与社区保护团体开展合作，以及协助开展公众参与与科普教育工作。
