Provincial Urban Health Index Dataset for Türkiye

This dataset contains the data used to calculate the Urban Health Index (UHI) for all 81 provinces of Türkiye. It includes 20 indicators grouped into five domains: health, environment, geography, economy, and sociodemographic factors. The reference periods range from 2021–2023 to 2025. The files contain the compiled provincial indicator values, indicator directions, standardized scores, provincial UHI scores, regional classifications, and data used in the disparity and correlation analyses. The data were obtained from publicly available sources. Source names, reference years, URLs, and access dates are provided in the metadata file. Age-standardized mortality rates and forest area per 10,000 population were calculated by the authors. Some PM₂.₅ values were estimated from PM₁₀ when direct PM₂.₅ data did not meet the completeness threshold. No identifiable or individual-level data are included.
