Erbin knockout leads to differential gene expression in the rat proximal tubular epithelial cell line NRK-52E

We generated the Erbin-deficient NRK-52E sublines (referred as to KO) using CRISPR/Cas9 approach, and performed transcriptome sequencing to identify the differentially expressed genes compared to the control (referred as to NC). Total RNA was extracted from NRK-52E subline cells with TRIzol reagent. The RNA purity and integrity were analyzed with the Agilent Bioanalyzer 2100 (Agilent). The mRNA was purified from total RNA after removal of rRNA and sequenced on an Illumina Hiseq2500 system.
