Transcriptome sequences for Campanula gentilis. Campanula gentilis transcriptome

In order to support future studies that aim at resolving the infrageneric phylogeny of Campanula based on the sequencing of enriched exome libraries, we decided to sequence the transcriptome of Campanula gentilis Kodova. C. gentilis is a species that inhabits rocky substrates and forms a system of long and branched rhizomes and roots. It belongs to the Campanula rotundifolia group (Campanula section Heterophylla), which encompasses 50 to 60 taxa, and has been shown to be of variable ploidy (diploid to tetraploid; Mráz 2005). Here, we provide the raw sequence reads of the transcriptome obtained from stem and leaf tissue of a single accession of C. gentilis.
