Endometriosis, an estrogen-dependent chronic inflammatory condition, affects reproductive-aged women. However, the underlying pathological mechanism is still unclear. Nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT) is a crucial enzyme for cellular metabolism and methylation regulation. This research examines the function of NNMT in endometriosis. We reduced the expression of NNMT in human endometrial stromal cell line (HESCs) and conducted RNA sequencing to reveal the molecular mechanisms involved.
