NitiBench is a Thai legal benchmark designed to evaluate the performance of LLM frameworks, such as RAG or LCLM, in legal question answering tasks. The benchmark consists of two datasets: NitiBench-CCL and NitiBench-Tax. NitiBench-CCL is derived from 35 pieces of legislation related to Corporate and Commercial Law (CCL), with questions and answers manually crafted by legal experts, including reasoning steps and final answers. NitiBench-Tax contains official tax ruling cases from the Revenue Department of Thailand, requiring extensive legal reasoning. The dataset provides fields such as question, answer, relevant laws, and reference answer, with a unified format. The data curation process involves manual crafting of questions and answers by legal experts, followed by quality assurance.
