Gene expression profiles in the liver of liver-specific ROCK1 deficient mice

Liver-specific deletion of ROCK1 leads to a significant decrease in gene expression of key molecules invovled in lipid systhesis. The study was designed to determine whether hepatic ROCK1 plays a role in the regulation of fatty acid synthesis The control and liver-specific ROCK1 KO mice were fed a normal chow ad libitum for 16 weeks. RNA in livers of control and liver-specific ROCK1 KO mice was extracted to investigate hepatic gene expression profiles.
