资源简介:
Cancer brain tumors are a diverse group of neoplasms with unique biological traits, treatment strategies, and prognostic outcomes. Common symptoms include headaches, affecting around 50 percent of patients, and seizures, which can occur in 15 percent to 95 percent of cases depending on tumor type. Tumor types include glial tumors, oligodendrogliomas, meningiomas, lymphomas, and pituitary adenomas. Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) are crucial in brain tumor biology, acting as molecular regulators. Vault RNAs (vtRNAs), a subset of ncRNAs, are significant yet poorly understood components of vault particles. VtRNAs, especially vtRNA-1, regulate important cellular processes like differentiation and survival, and their expression is influenced by epigenetic changes. VtRNAs can interact with chemotherapy agents, potentially leading to drug resistance in cancer cells. Recognizing vtRNA-related factors early can help tailor therapies and develop new treatment options for brain tumor patients. This project aims to detect chemotherapy resistance in brain tumors linked to vtRNA mutations, with the goal of creating personalized treatment regimens. The study will involve 50 participants, aged 18 and older, with confirmed diagnoses of primary or secondary brain tumors. Participants will provide blood samples for analyzing vtRNA expression through real-time PCR."
