The Pioneer Array is located off the coast of New England, south of Martha\'s Vineyard. The Continental Shelf-Slope area off the New England coast is a highly productive area and one that is located at a dynamic intersection where ocean currents meet in weather-like fronts, and where nutrients, pollutants, and other properties are exchanged between the coast and the deep ocean. Data from the inshore, shelf area helps to examine exchanges between the shelf and slope and the shelf ecosystem, as well as provide broader insight into the issues of air-sea gas exchange, including Carbon Dioxide. In order to provide synoptic, multi-scale observations of the outer continental shelf, shelf break region, and continental slope, the moored portion of the Pioneer Array is supplemented by six Coastal Gliders. 先锋阵列（Pioneer Array）坐落于新英格兰外海，玛莎葡萄园岛以南海域。新英格兰沿岸的大陆架-坡地区域是高生产力海域，同时处于洋流以类似大气锋面的形式交汇的动态交汇处，沿岸与深海之间会发生营养盐、污染物及其他物质的交换。近岸陆架区域的观测数据，既有助于探究陆架与坡地之间的物质交换及陆架生态系统特征，也能为包括二氧化碳在内的海-气气体交换相关议题提供更全面的认知。为对外陆架、陆架坡折带及大陆坡开展天气尺度、多尺度的同步观测，先锋阵列的锚定观测单元配备了6架沿岸滑翔机（Coastal Gliders）作为补充。沿岸滑翔机的功能为监测坡海与外陆架的中尺度流场，解析墨西哥湾流（Gulf Stream）波及陆架坡折锋面时形成的环流、涡旋与蜿蜒流态。自主水下航行器（AUVs）则是解析锋面不稳定、风力强迫及中尺度变率引发的跨锋面与沿锋面涡旋通量的核心观测工具。本数据集包含直接从滑翔机原生文件格式解析得到的原始Slocum滑翔机（Slocum glider）数据，未应用任何校正处理或其他质量控制算法。cdm_data_type = TrajectoryProfile
