JHS 175 Public administration vocabulary work process

The recommendation describes the vocabulary work process in public administration. The process produces and maintains the JHS vocabulary. The vocabulary work process described in the Recommendation clarifies and harmonises the concepts used by a community of interest (Community of Interest), internal data processing and external information exchange. The concepts and the terms representing them are stored as defined descriptions, so-called concept articles, in a repository for the management of vocabulary (JHS metadata register). Some of the concepts are community-specific, some are common to the public administration as a whole, in which case their ownership is shared by a centralised body in the public administration. All concepts entered in the JHS metadata register form a common vocabulary of public administration (JHS vocabulary).
