Fat- and antibiotics-induced changes in the gut microbiota of prostate cancer model mice

Excessive intake of animal fat and obesity are known risks for prostate cancer. To investigate the effects of animal fat and obesity on prostate cancer via the gut microbiota, we administered antibiotics orally to prostate cancer mice models fed either a high-animal fat diet or a control diet, and evaluated changes in the gut microbiota and prostate cancer status.
