The CARRIERS study utilized custom amplicon-based variant screening of known cancer predisposition genes in germline DNA from breast cancer cases and age matched unaffected controls taken from predominantly cohort-based breast cancer case-control studies to establish the risks of breast cancer associated with pathogenic variants in these genes.
