Diabetes mortality in women in the Basque Country (1996-2003)

Diabetes (ICD-9: 250; ICD-10: E10-E14)1 was the sixth cause of death among women, with 3 % of total deaths. In the period 1990-2004, mortality from diabetes has suffered an average annual decrease of 1.8 %. In the CAPV a clear geographical pattern is observed, with higher mortality in the northwest area of the community and the metropolitan area of Donostia-San Sebastián糖尿病（国际疾病分类第9版（ICD-9）编码：250；国际疾病分类第10版（ICD-10）编码：E10-E14）¹曾为女性人群第六大死亡原因，占总死亡人数的3%。1990-2004年期间，糖尿病相关死亡率年均下降1.8%。在CAPV区域内，呈现出清晰的地理分布特征：该社区西北部与多诺斯蒂亚-圣塞瓦斯蒂安大都市区的糖尿病死亡率相对更高。
