Blood pressure (BP) varies significantly in chronic hemodialysis (HD) patients, and dramatic variation in blood pressure during HD treatment is a well-recognized risk factor for increased mortality. BP monitoring is a fundamental part of HD treatment and is essential to patient safety during HD treatment. This study is based on a large stream of HD parameters collected from dialysis equipment connected to the Vital Info Portal (VIP) gateway and linked with demographic data stored in the hospital information system. We also provide a bioinformatics analysis system for real-time BP prediction. The accuracy was greater than 80% in the predicted error range of 15% and 20mmHg of true BP. The database supports applications including the recommendation that dialysis settings be personalized for each patient. The information is also delivered to the doctors to preempt BP fluctuation when a patient undergoes HD treatment.
