Images of a New Identitary Economy of Pregnant Bodies

The idea guiding this paper is that images create representations of femininities, thus introducing a new identitary economy of pregnant bodies. We investigated the discursive production of mother identities published in the Brazilian magazine Pais & Filhos. As a methodological-theoretical tool, we adopted the concepts of discourse analysis by Michel Foucault. We selected images considering mainstream historical movements that express, through transformation of places occupied by body and sports practices, the intervention in the bodies, thus stating identitary positions - a sportive, delicate, moderate, balanced, strong, tough, prepared, sensual, clean, immaculate mother.

本研究的核心立论为：图像塑造了多元女性气质的表征，由此构建起关于孕体的全新身份经济体系。本研究以巴西杂志《Pais & Filhos》刊载的内容为研究对象，探究其中母亲身份的话语生产过程。本研究采用米歇尔·福柯（Michel Foucault）的话语分析理论作为方法-理论工具。在图像选取环节，我们参考了主流历史运动的相关逻辑：这类运动通过身体所处空间与体育实践的转型，实现对身体的规训干预，由此确立了一系列母亲身份的话语定位——兼具运动特质、温婉纤柔、克制有度、沉稳平衡、强健坚毅、果敢强悍、思虑周全、富有感性、洁净无瑕与完美无缺的母亲形象。
