持久性有机污染物是一类在环境中普遍存在但难以降解、可远距离迁移、具有很强的生物和生态毒性、并能随食物链在动物和人体中不断富集放大的物质。监测和分析持久性有机污染物在不同环境介质中的赋存水平,预测持久性有机污染物的污染趋势,对其来源进行解析并评估它们潜在的生态风险,可为相关政策的制定及环境污染的预防和治理提供基础数据。 本数据为北极黄河站科学考察(2018年)沉积物多氯联苯持久性有机污染物分析数据,对了解调查区域持久性有机污染物污染状况具有重要科学意义。样品获取时间为2018年7月11日至7月14日之间,考察黄河站所在新奥尔松地区。采用《极地生态环境监测规范》(试行)作为样品采集和分析检测依据,采用气相色谱-质谱连用仪检测。

Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) are a class of substances that are ubiquitous in the environment, resistant to degradation, capable of long-range transport, exhibit strong biological and ecotoxicity, and can accumulate and magnify continuously in animals and humans via the food chain. Monitoring and analyzing the occurrence levels of POPs in different environmental media, predicting their pollution trends, identifying their sources, and assessing their potential ecological risks can provide fundamental data for the formulation of relevant policies and the prevention, control and governance of environmental pollution. This dataset contains analysis data on polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs, a type of POPs) in sediments from the 2018 scientific expedition of the Arctic Yellow River Station, which is of great scientific significance for understanding the pollution status of POPs in the survey area. The samples were collected between July 11 and July 14, 2018, from the Ny-Ålesund area where the Arctic Yellow River Station is located. Sample collection and analysis testing were carried out in accordance with the "Specifications for Polar Ecological Environment Monitoring (Trial Implementation)", and detected using a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) system.
