Austria's Annual Greenhouse Gas Inventory 1990-2018.

In "Austria's Annual Greenhouse Gas Inventory 1990-2018" the Umweltbundesamt presents updated figures of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Austria including the first six years of the second commitment period under the Kyoto Protocol. In 2018, GHG emissions amounted to 79.0 million tonnes of CO2 equivalents. This corresponds to a 0.7% increase against 1990 and a 3.7% decrease compared to 2017. Key drivers for the development 2017-2018 were the decreasing electricity production from natural gas power plants as well as lower production of iron and steel.
